Sesame Networks Announces North American Channel Partner Program for Leading Wi-Fi Secure Guest Access Solution

Sesame Networks partners with leading N.A. distributors, system integrators and resellers to address enterprise and vertical markets

SAN JOSE (WI-FI PLANET CONF. & EXPO) – NOVEMBER 29, 2004 – Sesame Networks Inc., an innovative provider of Wi-Fi mobility solutions, today announced the establishment of its North American Channel program. Sesame’s initial certified partners include nationwide distributors, system integrators and regional or vertical-focused value-added resellers (VARs). To help further penetrate the U.S. market, Sesame has partnered with WAV®, a national wireless distributor with a network of over 28,000 established relationships with VARs and system integrators.

Sesame Networks partners are able to participate in a new and fast growing market for Wi-Fi solutions. Sesame’s partners realize an entirely new and ongoing revenue stream. Sale of new Wi-Fi equipment is complemented by recurring revenue from a managed service. Additional revenue is also realized by sale of ancillary network equipment. This will allows partners to solidify their position with existing customers and expand into new market segments.

“Corporate executives are faced with the challenge of providing Wi-Fi guest access to visitors to keep their business moving with a security imperative that they do not open up their LAN to abuse,” said Norm Dumbroff, president of WAV. “Our partnership with Sesame Networks enables us to uniquely solve this problem and enables us to offer our syndicate of resellers and system integrators a true competitive advantage in the marketplace.”

Sesame Networks North American Channel Program also includes two certified system integrators, Bell Canada and IBM Global Services, who are serving the needs of enterprise customers in Canada.

Sesame has also partnered with several value added resellers (VARs) that target specific verticals within the corporate market including Nitro Microsystems that has turned up several customers within the legal community and End-to-End, a managed service provider with several large customers in the automotive retailer and service center market.

“All our partners enable Sesame Networks to expand the range and reach of our product offering, allowing us to move more quickly to market with our trusted, instantly available Wi-Fi guest access solution,” said Tom S. Hope, president and CEO of Sesame Networks. “We look forward to working with the team assembled to help their customers address the Wi-Fi connectivity gap that exists for enterprises today with a safe and secure solution. This gap occurs when they leave their own corporate LAN and enter someone else’s.”

SesameSpots have been deployed at locations throughout Canada including leading law firms, government institutions and automotive retailers and service centers, and is currently trialing with several firms in the U.S.

Sesame Networks will demonstrate its patent-pending guest access solution at the upcoming Wi-Fi Planet Conference November 30 – December 2, 2004 in San Jose, California (booth #325). In addition, Tom Hope will present as part of the Wireless Security Track on December 2, on a panel entitled, “Mobile Wireless Security: Beware the Road Warrior.”
